Still in Bhutan (photograph was taken Oct 3 2014), we stop at a weaving facility, Gagyel Lhundrup Weaving Centre. In here are a couple of rooms where women are sitting on the floor with their looms, handweaving cloth. The yarn is bright and colourful and the patterns are intricate.

In a street market in San Jose, Costa Rica, the colours and textures of a large basket of rambutan fruit caught my eye. They look prickly, but aren’t. Soft with a delicious white fruit inside.
A closer look at the lotus flower in the giant lily pad pond (Peruvian Amazon). The flower was approximately 23 cm (9 inches), not including the stem.
