The Okanagan Sunflowers were in bloom everywhere on my hike yesterday, just 2 blocks from my house, and up a mountain.
As the sun continued to set, the colours turned from bright orange (see Day 44) to a deep rusty orange. Mother Nature’s light painting was exquisite on Halong Bay (N. Vietnam).
Enjoying the beautiful sunset colours on Halong Bay, Vietnam.
Still in Bhutan (photograph was taken Oct 3 2014), we stop at a weaving facility, Gagyel Lhundrup Weaving Centre. In here are a couple of rooms where women are sitting on the floor with their looms, handweaving cloth. The yarn is bright and colourful and the patterns are intricate.

I photographed this flower in Concepción, Chile. It is the flower of the abutilon pictum flowering maple shrub. The evergreen shrub can grow up to 5 meters and has yellow and green variegated foliage with these bright orange flowers.
