Any skill improves with practice, and my commitment for 2016 is to improve my photography skills, and post my work … every day. Some days I will photograph and post, other days I will post images in my huge database of travel, nature & people images. If you happen upon my site … enjoy my work, and comment where appropriate. And thanks for joining me on my photography adventure for 2016.

UPDATE: 2016 is a leap year, so there will actually be one bonus image … it really should be the 366 day project challenge, but I’ll leave it at 365 to not confuse me or anyone else 🙂
Vietnamese ethnic groups (Miao, Hmong, Dao OJ, Tay and Giay), who inhabit the mountainous region of Bac Ha, come to the market here in the village of Bac Ha for trading all kinds of spices, tobacco, food, fabrics and crafts. The small village of Bac Ha is in the Northern Vietnam mountains, close to the Chinese border.
In between all the daily work of preparing meals, looking after children & the household, and working in the fields, the ladies of the Red Dao tribe in Northern Vietnam spend their remaining time working on their embroidery. Circles of women gather to gossip and embroider their beautiful patterns.
